Getting Ready for Another Year…

Coming to a Homeschool Assembly Near You!

As we gear up for a new academic year, I’d like to mention that our contributors are available to speak to your homeschool support group, book fair, or co-op writing class. If you haven’t done so already, please browse the Contributors pages to see who lives near your area.

Creative Writing is Like a Vacation for your Brain!

After a long year of work or school, it’s great to take a little time away, do something exciting, and enjoy different scenery. But as summer draws to a close, it can seem like a loooong time until the next vacation. Have you thought of creative writing as a way to escape stress? A story world can provide a mini-vacation for your brain!

Look for times to let your imagination wander. Work out plot details while you jog or interview a character as you vacuum. Whether you carve out time during the day or have to wait until the weekend to write, a get-away moment is as close as a daydream.

About Lynn Dean

Lynn Dean dictated her first story before she could write and continued to write stories, illustrate them, and bind them into books throughout childhood. As a homeschooling mom, she enjoyed passing a love for writing to her own children and ten years of co-op students.
