Drumroll, please . . .

The winning entries in the 2010 Novel Writing contest are:

Dead on the Vine by Sonja Hutchinson (adult category)

Minoru by Angela Bell (student category)

Congratulations to these fine writers and to all who entered. Each story showed promise, and we appreciate the imagination, effort, and love of storytelling that went into each one. Reviewing this fine collection of samples was a delightful task.

Critiques of each entry will be returned today by email. We hope the comments will be encouraging and helpful.

New lessons will begin in August, but remember that the more relaxed days of summer provide a great opportunity to indulge time on your writing. To help you keep the creative juices flowing, we’ll post writing prompts weekly and also take you on a virtual vacation–a blog tour of some of the writing websites we’ve found most helpful.

About Lynn Dean
